Beyonce to Launch Record Label

Beyoncé may be about to become a mom, but the global pop star has recently announced plans to add another impressive title to her name: music mogul.

In an interview with the Associated Press, Bey said she wants the next step in her career to be that of a record executive.

"I am starting my company, my label," she said. "I want to create a boy band."

Beyoncé said she was inspired by male artists who have used their success to feed the next generation.

"I see so many male artists building these empires and passing their knowledge on to other artists and development. I see myself doing the same thing and hopefully other younger artists when they grow up and they have been around for 15, 20 years, they can do the same thing," she said.

In addition to bringing boy bands back, an ambitious Bey said she's interested in directing music videos.

"I want to continue to produce and do documentaries and music videos," she said. "I eventually want to start directing for other artists. Once I know that I have my stuff together and I trust that, I can do it for other artists."

The 30-year-old singer is currently promoting her third fragrance, Pulse.
