Big Boi Accepts Plea Deal in Drug Case

Agreement calls for drug testing and community service.

OutKast rapper Big Boi took a plea deal Thursday to avoid two felony drug charges.

The Atlanta MC, born Antwan Patton, was arrested last August after police found Viagra, ecstasy and MDMA while he and his party were getting off a Miami cruise ship.

The terms of the 36-year-old rapper's deal will include mandatory drug testing, community service and the requirement that he give $2,000 to charity, according to the Associated Press.

The ATLien's lawyers released this statement following his arrest in August.

"While Big Boi was traveling with his group and friends, a small amount of contraband was found in the collective luggage. I am confident when the entire facts are aired Big Boi will be completely exonerated."

After leaving the Miami court house today, Big Boi took to his Twitter account to address the issue.

"God is Great! #weoutchea RT @BibleWisdoms: God is light. There's no darkness in him,” he tweeted.

If Sir Lucious Left Foot stays clean for the next three months the two felony drug charges will be dismissed.
