It's already been over two years since Common's last album Universal Mind Control, but fans waiting to hear the Chicago spitter have another go at it will have to wait just a little bit longer. Common confirmed today (October 20) that his anticipated ninth album The Dreamer, The Believer has been moved to a December release.

Previously, the new album, which has been billed as a return to form following the experimental Mind Control, was set to be released November 22. The exact date in December when the album will now hit stores is not yet known. Another high profile hip hop release, Young Jeezy's Thug Motivation 103: A Hustler's Ambition, was recently pushed to December 20.

Two impressive singles from Common's Dreamer, "Ghetto Dreams" ft. Nas and "Blue Sky" have been circulating.
