50 Cent Doesn’t Believe Lil Wayne’s Numbers

The Queens rapper calls sales "suspect."

In 2009 at the American Music Awards, Jay-Z said during an acceptance speech, “Men lie, women lie but numbers don’t.” It seems 50 Cent disagrees.

In a recent interview with GlobalGrind, the hip hop mogul says he doubts Lil Wayne actually sold almost a million in a week for his latest effort, Tha Carter IV.

"To be honest with you, the Lil Wayne sales are a little suspect to me. Because it was trending 600,000 pieces that week. And they didn’t do a million copies, it was like 900,000."

While 50 believes that Tha Carter III deserved the acclaim it received, he also maintains "the last one that just came out, those numbers are funny."
