Rather than leave a few bills on the night stand and fill out a comment card, Kanye West found a better way to say thank you to the staff at the Mercer Hotel, who serviced them for months while he and Jay-Z recorded Watch the Throne on the second floor.

PerezHilton.com reports that West gave the entire staff of the hotel VIP tickets to his show at New Jersey's Izod Center on Sunday.

A source says: "As a way of thanking the staff of the Mercer for their hospitality, he invited the entire staff of the Mercer Hotel and Mercer Kitchen to the first NYC-area stop of the sold-out Watch the Throne tour at New Jersey’s Izod Arena on Sunday. West even went so far as to arrange transportation: a party bus shuttled the staff to and from the show."
