D'Angelo Announces European Mini-Tour

The reclusive singer seems ready to reemerge.

Minus a couple of cameos—and a couple of embarrassing arrests—D'Angelo has been laying low for the past, oh, decade or so. But now, surprisingly, he's announced a small series of shows in Europe next year.
The R&B singer's last album was the 2000 seminal neo-soul smash Voodoo, and he's been a virtual recluse since then. According to Soul Culture, D will rock at Paris' Le Zénith on January 29, hit Amsterdam’s Paradiso two nights later and then play London’s O2 Academy Brixton on February 3.

Yes, we're skeptical too, but before you totally discount this mini-tour, remember that The Roots’ ?uestlove, a long-time D'Angelo friend and collaborator, recently revealed that the elusive crooner's new album is in the “home stretch,” and that Q-Tip will be featured on the record.
