B.O.B, dontates to feed homeless, 10K

They say it's better to give than to receive — and B.o.B. obviously agrees. Earlier this week, the Atlanta rapper-singer marked his birthday with a $10,000 donation to feed the homeless.

This past Tuesday, Nov. 15, the "Strange Clouds" MC interrupted his 23rd birthday party at an Atlanta nightclub to present a "big check" to Hosea Feed the Hungry and Homeless. Cutting off the music, B.o.B. grabbed the mic and explained why he made the generous donation. “It’s my birthday, and even though it’s my birthday and people could give to me and give me things, I want to give back because I feel like my community is what’s important to me and what showed me the ropes and the fact that I can overcome,” he said. “I just want to give back to show my thanks and appreciation.”

Hosea Feed the Hungry and Homeless is a non-profit organization that feeds thousands of homeless families in the Atlanta region.

B.o.B. also challenged other artists to step up and match his donation, vowing that he'll match their gift to their charity of choice in turn. “I want to make a challenge. This ain't no cocky challenge — but the next artist to offer up 10 stacks, I’ll put up another 10 stacks for the same foundation,” he said.

Any takers?
