Baby Talks Signing Busta Rhymes to Cash Money

Collaborations with Nicki Minaj and Drake are already in the works.

In a surprise move last week, Birdman and Busta Rhymes announced that the Conglomerate leader has joined the Cash Money Records family. In a new interview with The Urban Daily, Birdman says the deal was about recognizing one of the greats.
"I think Busta Rhymes did his thing. He stayed on the grind and made himself relevant; you have to always respect the hustle. It’s time for the machine to take him where he needs to be!" he said. "We a great family, and are all excited about working with him, we always did work with him on all our projects, just about. He got the talent and the creativity to do what we need done."
Baby said Busta's next album is already done, and they plan to release the project's next single at the top of next year. Last week the public got its first taste of the album on the track "Why Stop Now," featuring Chris Brown.
On the veteran emcee's ninth LP, expect the same unique flow fans have come to know and love, although Baby said that musically he hoped to align Busta with the current generation.
"I ain’t going to mess with his flow, rap how you feel," he said. "I think he’s a great rapper, one of the best to ever do it, but I think it has a lot to do with the sound and what people are listening to now-a-days."
The Cash Money CEO said collaborations between Busa Buss and fellow labelmates Drake and Nicki Minaj are already in the works. Read the full interview at The Urban Daily.
