The good news just keeps coming for the Young Money camp. After Drake's Take Care became the third fastest selling album of the year, with over 630,000 copies sold in its first week, Lil Wayne has racked up a new accolade for his own 2011 LP Tha Carter IV. The album was recently certified double platinum by the RIAA, just three months after its release in August.

At over 1.7 million copies sold to date, Tha Carter IV has nearly matched the immediate success of Lil Wayne's Tha Carter III, in 2008. Carter IV sold 964,000 copies in its first week on shelves alone, becoming the second-fastest selling album of the year after Lady Gaga's Born This Way, which sold 1.1 million.
