Trina to Start Search for "America's Next Top Rapper"

The winner of the reality TV competition will receive a contract with Universal Music.

Hip hop artist Trina is teaming up with video director X (formerly known as Little X) and producer Rockwilder for a new reality TV show called America's Next Top Rapper. The three will serve as judges as the competition takes them through various cities in search of talent.

 

One finalist from each city will advance to the final round with the winner scoring a Universal Music distribution deal, a video shoot with X, a single produced by Rockwilder, a $20,000 cash prize, photo shoot, professional team, clothes and a national tour.

 

The pilot will be shot in Boston on Dec. 30.
