Astro Says He's Not Signed to Roc Nation

Astro says he's not signed to Roc Nation. The "X-Factor" MC says he's "not signed" to Jay-Z's Roc Nation record label.

After a solid showing on Simon Cowell's talent show X-Factor, Brooklyn's own MC Brian "Astro" Bradley stopped by 106 & Park to talk about his experience on the popular show. The young rapper may have been booted from the festivities, but it wasn't all for naught.
"I learned how to handle things better and a little less Brooklyn," Astro told BET.com backstage at 106. "I learned to humble myself a little bit and appreciate things a little more."
And while he's grateful, the BET Music Matters alum isn't celebrating any new record deals.
"I don't have a contract or a check so I ain't signed to nobody," Astro said when asked if he planned to join Jay-Z's Roc Nation record label.
But when asked to advise others who may want to follow in his footsteps, Bradley had plenty to share.
"Be comfortable on stage, be you, just have fun. As long as you're having fun then you're straight, don't make it a job," he said. "When you're making it a job, then you're doing something wrong. Have fun and do you, that's the greatest performance you can give."
Now the talent is prepping new music and a slew of other things.
"Definitely new music, I'm dropping a new mixtape soon," he shared. "Reality shows, clothing lines, movies and everything that I could possibly do, I'm going to do."
And while he hopes to work with "Jay-Z, Kanye West, Lupe Fiasco, Pharrell" the rising star admitted that he doesn't want to add too many guests to his debut album, "I'm trying to let people buy it for me. But there will probably be a few features on there but I'm not sure who yet."
