Nelly Cancels Visit to Alaskan Military Base

The rapper says he was sick with fever.

Nelly left some US military troops in Alaska very disappointed when he cancelled his plans to visit them on Friday. TMZ reports the "Country Grammar" rapper bailed on the soldiers at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson by calling in sick, claiming he had been suffering from fever for several days.
"My temp said 102 n I threw up everything I ate for the past week! I'm sorry I luv n will always support!!" he tweeted.
The troops, however, were not sympathetic, taking to Nel's Facebook page to voice their disappointment, and point out that he seemed fine performing in nearby Anchorage the night before. "You stood up the wrong group of people," one person wrote.
Nelly was still apologetic, once again tweeting, "I apologize 2all the troops and fam 2day n anchorage! been fighting off flue 4fewdays n it caught up2me!after my show sweating n going out!"
