The enthusiasm surrounding the proposed reunion of the soulful 90's group Digable Planets has subsided a little with the sobering news that the comeback hasn't been agreed upon by all group members. A spokesperson representing Ladybug Mecca, one third of the trio, released the following statement:
"Though a dialog has started about possible plans in the future, nothing had been contracted yet. All reports of Digable Planets, and/or Ladybug Mecca's appearance with them, are false and inaccurate."
According to Hip Hop DX, Cee Knowledge (formerly Doodlebug) and Butterfly, the male members of the group, are indeed touring, however, nothing has been booked for all three group members.
Doodlebug released his double album Futuristic Sci-Fi on September 27.
Since their 1993 platinum-selling release Reachin' (A New Refutation of Time and Space), the Grammy Award-winning group released only one album, Blowout Comb, in 1994. They originally split over creative differences.
