With the success of his vodka, Ciroc, Sean "Diddy" Combs may expand his liquor empire by launching a new tequila brand.

During an interview with AdWeek, the hip-hop entrepreneur revealed that he has been spending time south of the border doing some research.

"The only other thing I can tell you that I am working on is I have been spending some time in Mexico learning about the art of tequila,” Diddy said. “I’m a huge tequila fan.”

He went on to say there would be huge announcements for his brand in 2012.

Despite spending the last year in music revamping his Bad Boy Records roster with some of the hottest new talent in hip hop (French Montana, Red Café, MGK) Diddy admits he wants to transition from music and head to the big screen as a producer.

"You know, I’m one of the most successful African-American television executive producers in history," Combs said. "I’ve had six shows on the air at one time, but you should definitely remember this conversation and look back at it and say, ‘I remember he told me he was going to make some huge announcements.'"
