The R&B singer pops the question during holiday vacation.
Grammy Award-winning singer John Legend has checked himself out of the game. Over the holiday weekend the soulful crooner reportedly proposed to his girlfriend while on vacation.
"John Legend and his girlfriend, model Chrissy Teigen, got engaged over the holidays while vacationing in the Maldives," Legend's rep told People magazine.
Legend and the Sports Illustrated swimsuit model Teigen began dating in 2007.
No further details on the engagement are available. Although the G.O.O.D. Music artist has yet to make a formal public statement on the upcoming nuptials, he's expected to make his first public appearance as an engaged man next week in Las Vegas on New Year's Eve, when he's scheduled to play The Pearl at the Palms.
The 32-year-old singer will also celebrate his birthday Wednesday, Dec. 28.
