More than a month after his arrest in Belgium, Loon remains behind prison bars and his lawyer says he will remain there for a little while longer.
Initially the former Bad Boy star was to be extradited, he's now expected to stay locked up in Brussels for the time being while his lawyer, Isa Gultaslar, attempts to appeal the decision in Supreme Court, reports Hip Hop DX.

As previously reported, Chauncey "Loon" Hawkins was arrested in Belgium on Nov. 22 after being caught at the Brussels Airport on his way to give a lecture at the Islamic and Cultural Centre of Belgium and charged with trafficking heroin in the U.S.
Officials reportedly invoked the Patriot Act to bring him back to the states as he had converted to Islam, now goes by Amir Junaid Muhadith and lives in Algeria with his family.
The U.S. has yet to send the extradition documents. Stay tuned as this story develops.
