Lil Wayne Releasing I Am Not a Human Being 2 This Summer

Birdman talks up forthcoming Weezy projects.

Lil Wayne obviously hasn't heard Sade's "It's Never As Good As the First Time." After dropping the chart-topping fourth installment in his Tha Carter series last August, Wayne is releasing a sequel to 2010's I Am Not a Human Being this summer.

Cash Money CEO Bryan "Birdman" Williams spoke about the LP in an interview with Complex. "Wayne’s got an album he’s about to drop real soon," he said. "It's called I Am Not a Human Being 2. It’s gonna be before the summer for sure. We haven’t picked the date yet. Whenever he’s ready to drop his album, we’re gonna make it do what it do. He’s definitely got an album done and ready to go. Wayne works a lot."

Birdman sounded more vague when asked about a possible sequel to Weezy's 2010 rap-rock experiment, Rebirth. "There’s no telling. But I know for sure we’ve got I Am Not a Human Being 2 ready to go. That’s the next project," he said.

Williams also revealed that he and Wayne are working on a second chapter of their 2006 collaborative album Like Father, Like Son, and that a Birdman solo project is in the works as well. "We got [Like Father, Like Son 2] finished too," he said. "We’ve been recording that. We never stopped recording that. We got songs we want. When we get ready to drop it, we’ll probably do that in the fourth quarter ... I want to do my solo album too, so we’ll probably do that later on.”

Looks like it's going to be a busy, profitable 2012 for the Cash Money/Young Money conglomerate. Nicki Minaj recently announced she's dropping her highly anticipated Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded on April 3 rather than the original Valentine's Day release date, and Tyga's Careless World: Rise of the Last King is on deck for February 21 after numerous delays.
