BET Music Matters Announces April Showcase

Another night of live music from a fresh lineup of up-and-coming talent.

The BET Music Matters Showcase series will return to New York next week after hitting the road last month for a special Austin, Texas, show as a part of South by Southwest. The next concert is scheduled for Tuesday April 10 at popular NYC hot spot Santos Party House.

Hosted by Hot 97's KFoxx and our very own Buttahman, the lineup for the evening will include soul singers Natalie Imani, Gabe Roland, Leron Young, Moxie and New York MC Dolo the Bandit.

Imani will illustrate what she means when she says, "Music is the mark of my passion," when she performs songs from her upcoming EP Passion Mark. Roland, known for his energetic stage shows, promises to enliven the crowd. Although still very fresh-faced, Leron Young will exhibit his blend of contemporary R&B with a touch of nostalgia for the late '80s and early '90s, including songs off his upcoming album, American Heartbreak. Moxie will make an effort to demonstrate the namesake, while Bronx rapper Dolo the Bandit will spit for his hometown crowd.

Santos Party House is located at 96 Lafayette (between Walker St. & White St.).

Doors open at 8 p.m. for tonight’s show. The first act will hit the stage at 8:30 p.m., so get there on time.
