They got Chris Brown, Eddie Murphy and Bobby Brown, now the celebrity death pranksters have gone after Usher. The R&B star is the latest victim of an Internet death hoax that claimed he died in a fiery car crash yesterday.

Global Associated News was the first site to report the demise of the “Confessions” singer. This is the same website that has falsely reported the deaths of a number of celebs, including Denzel Washington, Justin Bieber and Jon Bon Jovi. Global Associated allows its users to place the name of stars into a generator that produces death headlines.

Thanks to Twitter, Usher was able to let fans know he was alive and well, dubbing himself a “Livin’ Legend.”

“I must've died and went to heaven...Alive and cold kickin a--!!" he tweeted along with a photo showing off his buff bod.

Now that his fans know that he's fine, Usher will likely get back to work on his seventh studio album, Looking For Myself, which is set for release in June.
