In case there was any doubt that Azealia Banks is a star in the making, the young rapper from Harlem recently signed with the manager of one of the biggest pop stars in the world. Banks has teamed with Troy Carter, manager to Lady Gaga and CEO of Atom Factory, THR reports.

Banks, who signed to Interscope Records in January after parting ways with XL Recordings, is gearing up for the release of her first offerings on a major label. Her debut album, Broke With Expensive Taste, is due in September, and an EP, titled 1991, was recently delayed from a scheduled April release.

"I just switched management. Literally like three days ago, and have a whole new set of resources to take advantage of," Banks wrote in a recent tweet about the delay. "We're gonna vamp this up and make it official. No more ghetto mixes and closet recording. I have a budget now!"

The 20-year-old artist recently performed her first big show in the U.S. at the Coachella music festival in California.
