R&B singer Houston was arrested in Los Angeles late last week for driving under the influence. The "I Like That" singer, who notoriously gouged his eye out during a drug-related emotional breakdown in 2005, was arrested in Malibu on (May 2) reports TMZ.
Arresting officers say that the 28-year-old was driving erratically near Malibu when he was pulled over. During the stop cops said they smelled the scent of marijuana in the vehicle and booked the L.A. native. Houston was released from jail on Thursday.
Houston (full name Houston Summers) released one album, It's Already Written, while signed to Capitol Records in 2004. "I Like That," the biggest hit from the gold-selling effort, featured appearances by Nate Dogg and Chingy.
Following his mental breakdown in 2005, Houston spent a year in a mental health institution.
