Indonesia has rolled up the welcome mat on Lady Gaga's expected concert. Despite selling out her show, legislators got in the mix and figured out a way to shut down the concert before Gaga could even think about touching down in the country reports The Associated Press.

Religious conservatives rallied together under the mission of protecting the youth from corruption to raise concerns about the performance. Some went as far as threatening physical violence and police officers warned that they would not be able to provide adequate security for Gaga against the many threats of attack. Concert promoters were eventually denied the permits they would need for the show.

This wasn't the first and won't be the last time Gaga has trouble with her image overseas.  Soon after the release of her second album Born This Way, the sexually explicit star who advocates homosexuality was banned in Lebanon after they deemed her content "offensive to Christianity." Gaga's music videos faced a ban in the U.K., and sales of her upcoming tour dates in South Korea had to be restricted to concert goers 18 and over because conservatives weren't comfortable with teenagers attending her show.
