In her first public appearance since Whitney Houston’s passing, Bobbi Kristina Brown delivered an emotional speech at the Billboard Music Awards in honor of her late mother.
A sobbing Bobbi Kristina stepped to the stage to accept the Millennium Award on Whitney’s behalf following a tear-jerking performance by John Legend and Jordin Sparks. Joined on stage by Whitney’s sister-in-law Pat Houston, Bobbi Kris kept her speech short but sweet.
“I just really want to say thank you to everyone who supported us through it all, not just from when it was good but when it was bad too,” Bobbi Kristina said to rounding applause. “Thank you so much for showing that much love because she deserved it. I’m just blessed to have been in such an incredible woman’s life. There will never be another one. Ever.”
The moving speech was a culmination of a stirring tribute to the music icon who tragically passed away in February. Like many in the audience, Bobbi Kris, Whitney’s only child, was brought to tears during Sparks’ performance of “I Will Always Love You.”
Fans will likely be seeing more of Bobbi Kristina as it has been reported she will star in her own reality show on Lifetime network later this year.
