The beef between emcees and producers continues.
Lil Wayne wasted no time in firing back at Pusha T over his controversial new single "Exodus 23:1," and now another one of P's targets has chimed in with a heated response of his own.
Young Chop, the producer of the original version of viral hit "I Don't Like" (which Pusha and other G.O.O.D. Music artists later remixed), took to Twitter yesterday to blast Pusha for lines on the song apparently directed at him.
"F--k (Pusha T) am on that," Chop wrote. "Am on that with you b---h [sic] ass."
On "Exodus," Pusha has words for Chop, or at least producers like him, following the young beatsmith's comments that he felt disrespected by the G.O.O.D. Music remix of "I Don't Like."
"You can keep your beats, n---a / We'd much rather share your b---h, n---a," P rhymes.
After Chop's initial comments about the remix, his relationship with Kanye and the G.O.O.D. Music camp was strained to say the least. But in a subsequent interview, the 18-year-old had said the issues between he and Kanye had been resolved.
Apparently Pusha T didn't get the memo.
In an interview with HipHopDX last night, Chop responded to "Exodus 23:1" in more detail.
"They said they squashed all the beef that essentially was going on between me and Kanye. So I felt like they [broke] the rules," he said.
In Chop's view, Pusha's attack was unwarranted, particularly given the disparity in their age and status.
"All he needs to do…is be a bigger man," he said. "Because I’m only eighteen, and I don’t know why he comin’ at me like that. I ain’t never say nothin’ disrespectful to him or nothin’."
