Lil Phat, the 19-year-old rapper from Louisiana and member of the Trill Entertainment crew, was shot and killed yesterday outside a hospital in Atlanta, police have confirmed.
Phat was found with multiple gunshot wounds in a vehicle parked on the second floor of the parking center at Northside Hospital in Sandy Springs. He was rushed to the hospital's emergency room, but pronounced dead shortly thereafter.
Police are looking for two suspects, black males, who were seen fleeing the scene of the crime. A motive for the shooting was not known.
Lil Phat has released several recording projects in recent years with other members of Atlanta-based Trill Entertainment, including Webbie and Lil Boosie. His debut solo album, Never Use A Pen Again, was released in November of last year.
An upset Webbie talked about his friend’s passing on Twitter.
“RIP TO MY LIL BROTHER PHAT! LIFE SO F----- UP! TRILL4LIFE.”
