Drake Denies Buying Rich Lawyer's Watch
A well-to-do New York lawyer has claimed that a Manhattan jeweler sold his prized Rolex to Drake, but the Young Money star says he doesn't know anything about the watch.
The New York Post reported yesterday that the lawyer, James McMillan, is suing jeweler Rafaello & Co. over a $300,000 custom rose gold watch that went missing. McMillan says he brought the watch to Rafaello for a cleaning, but when he came to pick it up, it was nowhere to be found. In his lawsuit, McMillan claims he was first told that the owner of the store liked the watch so much he had been wearing it himself, and later that it had been sold to Drake.
In a statement to the Post today, however, a source close to Drake says that Drizzy "has never heard of this jeweler" and bought his Rolex, which he is seen wearing on the cover of his sophomore album Take Care, directly from the company.
It looks like McMillan's missing watch is still missing.
