Weezy insists he’s moved on from the war of words with the G.O.O.D. Music rapper.
Tension between Lil Wayne and Pusha T came to a head late last month when the two artists traded well circulated diss tracks. At the time, Wayne famously declared "F--k Pusha T and everybody that love him," but now he's making it clear that a war of words is not the same as beef.
In a recent interview with the Associated Press, Weezy said his rhymes and statements were simply reflexive after Pusha fired first with his song "Exodus 23:1."
"It really wasn't no beef, you know. It was just me. I just reacted," he said. "Just a reaction, a simple reaction. I don't apologize for it because I'm human. But it was just my human reaction."
Wayne said that although what's done is done, he doesn't see a need for bad blood to persist between himself and the G.O.O.D Music representative from Virginia.
"I don't take it back. But there's no beef," he said. "Beef is a whole different thing. ... I'll move on."
The Young Money captain said he has finished recording his next album, I Am Not a Human Being II, which will be released later this year. The first single from the project, "My Homies Still," features none other than Pusha T's label mate Big Sean.
