Chief Keef has already established himself as one of the most sought after young hip hop artists in the game, recently signing with Interscope Records after reportedly turning down bids from several other major labels. One of the labels he didn't sign with was T.I.'s Atlantic Records imprint Grand Hustle. But despite the fact that they won't be doing business together, Tip says he still wishes the 17-year-old spitter well.

"The opportunity existed, but I never put my own personal wishes before the best interest of the next person," T.I. said of Keef choosing Interscope over Grand Hustle in an interview with MTV News. "I'm just happy that he's able to do whatever's best for him and his family and to move forward as a person and to progress in life. As long as he's doing that, I'm happy."

And what, exactly, makes Keef so sought after anyway? T.I. said he thinks the Chicago native, who broke out with his single "I Don't Like," has tapped into a new generation.

"Chief Keef, I feel like he represents a part of America," Tip said. "He represents a part of the youth in America that ain't really got a voice right now. We looking at 'em, and we're seeing the results of their actions, but we ain't really listening to 'em, and I think you gotta have a representative of each generation in order to understand what they dealing with."
