Wiz Khalifa is walking tall on the cover of the latest issue of Complex magazine. The Pittsburgh star, who is prepping his highly anticipated sophomore album, O.N.I.F.C., is shown balancing on a tightrope for the October/November issue of the lifestyle mag.
O.N.I.F.C. had been scheduled for a September 18 release, but was recently delayed for unspecified reasons. In the Complex story, Wiz says he has been asked by his record label to produce more radio-friendly songs.
"Atlantic likes O.N.I.F.C.," he says. "But they want more obvious singles because that’s what sells it for them. My belief in the record is what sells it to me. It’s not a conflict. You just have to communicate so everybody understands it."
Wiz starts a nationwide Taylor Gang tour on October 12. He also has a pending mixtape with Curren$y, Live in Concert, for which he's currently awaiting sample clearance. The October/November issue of Complex hits stands October 2.
