DMX: I Don't Want to Beat Up Drake

The rap vet says he doesn't have beef with the Young Money star.

It's no secret that DMX has a strong distaste for Drake. But does that mean the two are beefing? According to X, not at all.
Despite previously admitting that he doesn't like "anything about Drake" from his voice, to his face, to his haircut and recently commenting that he'd like to "beat him up" over the rumored posthumous Aaliyah album he's executive producing, X says he doesn't actually have a serious issue with the Young Money star.
"I have no… I mean, the n---a ain’t do nothing to me. There ain’t no reason, son. I don’t want to beat him up. It ain’t that serious," he said in a recent interview with DJ Whoo Kid.
The fact that he doesn't want to fight with Drake doesn't, however, change Dark Man's feeling that Drizzy is handling the Aaliyah project all wrong. He said that the right thing to do would be to properly engage Missy Elliott and Timbaland, two of the singer's longtime collaborators.
"That’s disrespectful," he said. "To have access to this lady’s music and lyrics and everything, and then just do what you want to do with it? At least honor her tradition… If that’s what she did, then why wouldn’t you do the same thing?"
DMX's seventh album, Undisputed, recently hit stores.
