50 Cent Records New Song With Chief Keef
Chief Keef has had a powerful ally in 50 Cent, and now the two have officially joined forces on wax. The G-Unit general broke the news on Twitter last night that he and Keef recently recorded a song together.
“I did a new joint tonight with @chiefkeef,” he wrote. “He got some heat.”
Previously, 50 had come to the defense of Keef after the 20-year-old rapper from Chicago came under fire for being perceived as promoting violence in his own neighborhoods. The "I Get Money" rapper even suggested that he intervened after overhearing that Interscope was considering dropping Keef.
"There was some energy in the building where they were thinking about dropping him," he revealed in an interview with Angie Martinez. "I was like 'You can't drop him, that's what hip hop culture is! The opportunity to make it from anywhere."
It's not yet clear where the collaborative track will end up, but Fif is known to be preparing his sixth album, Street King Immortal, for later this year.
