Shyne Slams Drake as an "Actor From Canada"

Drake is Shyne's latest victim under fire for being "another corny one."

Shyne has proven that he's not one to bite his tongue, taking aim at rap foes Rick Ross and 50 Cent in recent weeks. You can now add Drake to that list, as the former Bad Boy rapper made his distaste for the Young Money star clear in a recent interview with MTV News.
"He's another corny one," Shyne said of Drake. "What does he do? He's an actor from Canada."
Shyne went on to blast Drake for being a phony akin to Rick Ross, adopting a hard-scrabble swagger despite never having lived that life. Like many rappers before him, he expressed nostalgia for the previous hip hop era when he said such posturing would not have been tolerated.
"When I was on the town, these dudes couldn't exist," he said. "These dudes couldn't exist in the Raekwon, Ghostface era. If Big and them was around, and 'Pac, c'mon man, they'd have these dudes for lunch."
The recently freed rapper from Belize accused Drake of making his name by merely mimicking elder successful rappers.
"He studied Lil Wayne, studied Kanye, cuz you know he used to sound like Kanye when he first came out, he studied them and he just acts like a street kid," he said. "Come on. 'Don't let me catch a body like that?' Who is he talkin' to? He don't believe that. And that's my problem with this culture, you can say anything you want, you can promote anything you want and nobody's held accountable."
Shyne insisted that he's not hating on Drake but would rather rap artists keep it real.
"It's just about the truth, because there's a lot of kids dying and a lot of kids' lives being ruined because of these liars" he said. "I would really prefer that Drake just sing about girls and sing about being a good kid from Canada and whatever that entails."
