President Barack Obama wants to make sure that Jay-Z is pulling his fair share in helping to care for daughter Blue Ivy. The leader of the free world has given his hip hop mogul friend some advice to lighten the load on Beyoncé and Tina Knowles.

"I made sure Jay-Z was helping Beyoncé out and not just leaving it all to mom and the mother-in-law," Obama joked to a Cleveland radio station.

The Obamas and Carters have been great pals since the 2008 campaign. Jay and Bey have hosted several fundraisers on behalf of the first couple and been among their most dedicated celebrity supporters.

"I've gotten to know these guys over the last several years," Barack explained. "We talk about the same things I talk about with all my friends. We talk about kids and they just had a new baby, they have a new daughter."

Calling the music power couple "unbelievably successful" but "down to earth," Obama continued to sing their praises.

"They're good people," the president added. "Beyoncé could not be sweeter to Michelle and the girls because the girls are big Beyoncé fans. We've had them down to the White House and they're good friends."
