Azealia Banks: I'm Very Inspired by Beyoncé
Azealia Banks has proven she is one tough cookie with her many rap beefs, but she also has a soft spot for Beyoncé. The rising hip hop star has been finding her own way in a music industry with few female rap role models. So instead, Banks is looking at Bey, taking notes on her personality and career.
"I definitely think career-wise and personally, I'm very, very inspired by Beyoncé," she shared with Beats TV. "She's so well-mannered and so classy and so well-poised. It's important to have those kinds of skills."
The rapper is set to drop her debut album, Broke With Expensive Taste, early next year, which she says will reflect her most authentic self and personal style. While she isn't aiming for a particular genre of music, the "212" celeb is known for her provocative raps and unique creativity. The star just released her "Atlantis" music video and has been hard at work on her album. However, she has a warning for other female rappers coming up in the game.
"Don't spend your money on things you can't afford. That money doesn't last forever."
