Nicki Minaj on Mariah Carey: "We've Been Fine"

Nicki Minaj loves her new Idol gig and is happy with all her co-workers.

It's been a while now since the tension between Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey came to a boil on the American Idol set and, according to Minaj, the drama between the two stars has since simmered down. In a recent interview with MTV News, Nicki said that things between her and Mariah have "been fine."
The two judges' inability to get along became a national story when video of both Carey and Minaj engaged in a full-throated shouting match during an audition leaked online. In subsequent comments, Carey said she felt concerned for her safety and hired extra security, while Minaj accused the singer of fear mongering and playing up stereotypes. The show went on however, and the two stars have apparently brokered a cease-fire... for the time being, at least.
Elsewhere in the interview, Minaj said she's so far enjoyed the Idol gig, which she began in September, and is happy with her co-workers, Carey notwithstanding.
"It's been a new experience for me. And it's just been interesting for me to have a 9 to 5 job," she said. "I haven't done that in such a long time. I haven't had to come somewhere and do a specific thing. I've been kind of creating my own schedule for the last few years, so it's interesting, but I love the people there, so that makes it OK."
