Rick Ross Named GQ 's Bawse of the Year

The MMG rapper adds another honor to the mantel.

Rick Ross officially has been dubbed GQ's "Bawse of the Year 2012." The hip hop star has had an incredible year, including his hit album, God Forgives, I Don't, debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart. "It's been a power-player year," said the celeb, who also claimed the No. 10 spot on The Source's list of the most powerful men in hip hop.

Rozay also became a hit overseas this year, with his latest record charting at No. 8 on the U.K. Albums Chart. Plus, the rap entrepreneur has been building out his MMG label, home to hit artists like Meek Mill and Wale, pushing out two volumes of the label's Self Made compilation.

Giving holiday advice to GQ readers, the star joked, "One, for Christmas go get yourself an MMG tattoo. Two, let's all stop smoking blunts; let's smoke out of papers."

Despite sparking the ire of Shyne just last month with his Black Bar Mitzvah mixtape, the Miami MC is looking forward to having a "beautiful" 2013 and getting money.
