Beyoncé to Sing National Anthem at Inauguration

Bey will take the stage to help usher in President Obama’s second term.

Beyoncé will be among a select few performers taking the stage at President Barack Obama's inauguration ceremony on January 21. The pop superstar will join folk/rock icon James Taylor and inaugural American Idol winner Kelly Clarkson for the festivities.

Bey will be performing the national anthem, while Taylor will sing "America the Beautiful" and Clarkson will sing "My Country 'Tis of Thee."

This isn't Beyoncé's first time at a presidential inauguration. In 2009, she performed the Etta James classic "At Last" at the Inaugural Ball while the president and the first lady had their first dance.

More than 1 million people are expected to show up at this year's inauguration ceremony, held, as per tradition, on the front steps of the capital.
