Shaggy

Nope. Shaggy is not going to participate in the Internet’s "fake dead reggae star" hoax—not this time. Mr. Boombastic is clearing up a wild rumor that’s been circulating about his death.

Internet pranksters, who are responsible for falsely reporting the deaths of numerous celebrities, made Shaggy their latest victim. There was chatter earlier this week that the reggae star died after being stabbed during a bar brawl in Los Angeles.

TMZ spoke to a rep close to the Jamaican-born dancehall artist, who confirmed Shaggy was alive and well. “[Shaggy] is like a cat with nine lives … but I can happily report that he’s alive and kicking and in the same building as me right now as we speak.”

So there you have it. Another cyber-death hoax debunked.
