Alicia Keys, Ne-Yo, John Legend Performing at NBA All-Star Game

All-star musical talent set to hold court at the Toyota Center in Houston on Sunday, Feb. 17.

As Beyoncé so powerfully showed during the halftime show at the Super Bowl last weekend in New Orleans, sports and music go hand in hand. And just like the Super Bowl, next weekend's NBA All-Star Game will feature some of the biggest music stars going in.

Fresh off her rendition of "The Star-Spangled Banner" at the Super Bowl, Alicia Keys will headline as halftime performer at this year's NBA All-Star Game, which is taking place at 8 p.m. EST on Sunday, Feb. 17, at the Toyota Center in Houston and being televised on TNT. The high-profile performance should build up anticipation quite nicely for her upcoming Set the World on Fire tour with Miguel, which kicks off April 18.
Ne-Yo, who hasn't performed much since accepting a job as senior vice president of A&R at Motown in 2012 and welcoming his third child into the world the year prior, will perform during player introductions. And John Legend will set off the entire evening by singing the national anthem before the game, which is presented by Sean John and Macy's.
On Saturday, Feb. 16, the day before the All-Star Game, the Toyota Center will host the Skills Challenge, Three-Point Contest and Slam Dunk Contest, hosted by Nick Cannon. The festivities will once again be televised by TNT, and once again, they'll be plenty of musical treats: Electro-pop singer Ellie Goulding and American Idol winner Phillip Phillips will perform, and rock band Fall Out Boy will reunite for its first live TV performance in years.
Sounds like a slam dunk.
