J. Cole and Miguel have joined forces again with the release of "Power Trip," the lead single off of Cole’s upcoming sophomore album Born Sinner. With recent Grammy-nominee Cole on the mic and behind the boards and Grammy winner Miguel crooning a hook that fits today’s Valentine’s Day theme perfectly, the two young stars recreate the magic that made their 2011 collaboration "All I Want Is You" an international hit.

"She got me up all night, all I’m singing is love songs," admits a vulnerable Cole over stuttering drums and a soft but steady melodic sample. Reflective rhymes about his recent journeys through love, power and pain expose an emotional side of the Roc Nation star that will resonate with long-time fans and new listeners alike. Miguel’s simple but heartfelt refrain, "Would you believe me if I said I’m in love?" is the cherry on top of what will surely become one of the year’s best hip hop and R&B collaborations.

"I’ve always wanted to use my voice to shift culture," Cole revealed in a statement that accompanied the single, "Even if just a millimeter. This song is one of my strongest to date and I look forward to hearing fans' reactions."

The heartfelt track has been received positively on both radio and the web, steeply increasing the buzz surrounding Born Sinner, which is currently in the works to be released later this year. Still riding the wave created by his new EP Truly Yours, which was released this week as a gift to loyal fans, Cole is already on track for a breakout year in 2013.

Coming off of 2011’s highly successful debut, Cole World: The Sideline Story, which charted at No. 1 and moved 217,000 copies the week of its release, the Roc Nation MC is poised take his music and message to the big stage with the experience he’s gained since leaving Fayetteville, NC, to become a rap star. Born Sinner will explore the dark side of the world he’s come to know, showcasing newfound levels of maturity and exposing the corruption and pain that comes with the famous life he so desperately chased.

"Power Trip" is a bright sign of things to come for the promising MC who has already won over even the toughest critics in the hip hop game. His ability to crossover to other genres shined bright on past collaborations with Missy Elliot and Beyoncé and his chemistry with Miguel will continue to take both young artists to new heights.
