MC Hammer had a pretty rough weekend. The "2 Legit 2 Quit" rapper was arrested on Saturday night in Dublin, California, TMZ reports, but claims the arrest was the result of racial profiling. 
Hammer was jailed for obstructing an officer in the performance of his duties and also resisting arrest, but the '90s icon took to Twitter on Saturday night to relay his own version of the events, saying the officer tapped on his window and asked him, "Are you on parole or probation?" Initially thinking the incident was a joke, Hammer realized it was serious when the officer, allegedly without provocation, pulled out a gun and whistle. 
"Only thing more dangerous than a scared man with a gun, is a scared man with an agenda, a gun and a badge. I was citied for obstruction smh," the rapper tweeted on Sunday morning.
Law enforcement officials at the Dublin police department wouldn't comment on the incident. It is not clear yet if either party will be pursuing further charges.
