Too $hort was not only too drunk the other night — he was also too slow. The legendary Oakland rapper was arrested for DUI early this morning after allegedly attempting to run from police.

According to TMZ, Short Dog (born Todd Anthony Shaw) was pulled over in L.A. in the wee hours this morning. According to law enforcement sources, when the police approached the vehicle, he seemed to be under the influence. When they attempted to administer a breathalyzer test, Too $hort reportedly ran down the street on foot — tripping along the way. Police apprehended the rapper and placed him under arrest.
To make matters worse, $hort allegedly tried to dump narcotics in the police cruiser after he was arrested.

TMZ's sources say $hort's breathalyzer registered a .09, which is just over California's .08 legal limit.

Too $hort is currently being booked for DUI and felony narcotics possession. It's unclear if he's been released yet. He has yet to comment on the incident.
