Possible legal trouble for Ross, whose gun license had expired.
Rick Ross may have just gone from victim to defendant in the case of the January drive-by shooting in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
New details are emerging from the incident, in which a Rolls Royce occupied by the rapper and a female companion was shot at multiple times. Among them, the Maybach Music Group boss was armed with a loaded semi-automatic Smith and Wesson 9mm at the time. To make matters worse, the license on the firearm was expired at the time of the incident.
According to police reports obtained by The Smoking Gun, Ross had the gun in the waistband of his pants. Rozay was said to have hired 'round-the-clock, armed security guards following the shooting, from which he narrowly escaped unharmed.
There is no word if police plan to pursue criminal charges against Ross over possession of the handgun.
