Another headline-grabbing collaboration for K. Dot.
Where does Kendrick Lamar find the time? "I’m lookin' to be the God MC," he said on his "B---- Don’t Kill My Vibe" remix with Jay-Z. The latest evidence that Kendrick definitely meant what he said arrived last night via Twitter when @MiguelUnlimited announced “How many Drinks ft. @KendrickLamar. Coming soon. #lakings #laallday.”
The pair shot a video for the remix of the tune off Miguel’s masterpiece Kaleidoscope Dream album. Miguel’s song is all about trying to get a girl to go home with him by all means necessary. Kendrick has explored the theme of alcohol’s aphrodisiac powers before on his single "Swimming Pools (Drank)" (“Wave a few bottles and watch em all flock / all the girls wanna play Baywatch”).
Add this latest Kendrick collabo to the list of forthcoming projects along with the Kid Cudi joint "Solo Dolo Part II" and Chris Brown’s "Autumn Leaves." After Miguel gets done with his stint opening for Alicia Keys on her Set the World on Fire tour, he’ll be hitting the stage at the Staples Center on Saturday June 29 as part of the BET Experience. And guess who’s performing the same night? Yep — K-Dot. Look for Kendrick and Miguel to pour it up that night.
