‘Ye flew down to Atlanta to shoot scenes for the Will Ferrell film.
Fresh off his performance at the Met Gala earlier in the week, Kanye West is now flexing his acting muscle. 'Ye will appear in the highly-anticipated comedy sequel Anchorman 2 (aka Anchorman: The Legend Continues), and flew down to Atlanta to shoot the cameo.
Details behind his role are scarce but a grainy photo of the Chicago native shows him rocking an afro-wig while shooting in the city's downtown area. A source told E! News that West will be involved in a fight scene.
While on set, Yeezy was briefly joined by pregnant girlfriend Kim Kardashian, who flew back to Los Angeles Wednesday (May 7). The couple will welcome their first child this summer.
The studio behind the follow-up to Will Ferrell's 2004 cult classic has yet to confirm West's appearance. Other stars set to guest star in the film include Tina Fey, Amy Poehler and British comedian Sasha Baron Cohen, of Borat fame.
Joining Anchorman 2 is the latest in a series of more public moves that the usually reclusive rap star has made as of late. West has spent the last several months in Paris recording a new album — music of which he debuted at the Met Gala — and will do more promotion as musical guest on Saturday Night Live's season finale next weekend.
The album will drop June 18, while Anchorman 2 is due December 20.
