Eazy-E and ODB Holograms To Perform At Rock The Bells

Rappers will make virtual appearances at concert series.

Rock the Bells is looking towards a virtual resurrection. In unveiling the lineup for their annual RTB tour, Gorilla Unit announced the return of the dearly departed rappers, Ol' Dirty Bastard and Eazy-E, both of whom will appear via hologram.
Eazy-E's performance will re-team the Compton native's digital ghost with Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, while ODB is set to join forces with his Wu-Tang family.

ODB's mother, Cherry Jones, and Eazy's widow, Tomica Wright, approved the digital shows, which were inspired by Tupac Shakur's hologram set at last year's Coachella Music Festival. In bringing Pac back to life, Dr. Dre teamed with San Diego-based company AV Concepts, dropping a reported $10 million. AV went bankrupt a year later.
It is unclear which company will put together the RTB shows, or what the cost will be.
Outside of ODB and Eazy-E, RTB's lineup looks to continue its reputation for being a hub for buzzed about and veteran acts, across the rap spectrum. Common, Kid Cudi, Rakim, Curren$y, and gospel rapper LeCrae, are among the performers.
RTB kicks off Sept. 7 at the San Manuel Amphitheater in San Bernardino, CA.
