Roc Nation's next up reveals title, talks single with K. Dot.
Music Matters rising star and Roc Nation sweetheart Bridget Kelly has finally announced her debut studio album title.
Kelly told Rap-Up TV that the collection will be called Something Different. As for when it will be released, "September!" she exclaimed, although, she's not sure exactly which day.
"I don't have a specific date, but it's coming, a couple more months," she assured, letting loose her next single as a confirmation of sorts. "New record coming out end of August, beginning of September, it's called 'Goosebumps,'" she said.
Adding a bit of insight about her current single, Kelly said, "Street Dreamin' [featuring fellow Music Matters artist Kendrick Lamar] was so much fun … [For the video] we had a nice little street party, took over a whole block, got a bunch of classic cars, had Kendrick out there sitting on the hood…"
K-Dot also recently had a nice little party of his own. Celebrating his multiple performances and wins at the BET Awards, the official Interscope/TDE after party this past Sunday (Jun. 30) turned into an official presentation of his first platinum plaque. He received it for his debut studio album, good kid, m.A.A.d city (which was released in October 2012). This, just two days after Dr. Dre presented him with the Vanguard Award at the 26th Annual ASCAP Rhythm & Soul Awards in LA (Jun. 27), where Elle Varner, yet another Music Matters artist, performed.
