Miley Cyrus has twerked her way onto Jay-Z's radar. It's not every day that a rap star mentions a former Disney star, but Hov just couldn't resist calling out the 20-year-old, reserving a special line for her on "Somewhereinamerica."
Jay proclaims that "Somewhere in America Miley Cyrus is still twerkin,'" before delving into a "twerk, Miley, Miley, twerk!" chant. The former teen queen responded to what could be perceived as a sarcastic jab by flipping it on Brooklyn's Finest. "Somewhere in American a Jay-Z song is onnnnnn," she tweeted to her more than 12 million followers.
Since Cyrus didn't elaborate, she could have either been flattered or irritated by Beyoncé's better half. Four years ago, she admitted to never hearing a Jay-Z song, but chances are the "We Can't Stop" singer is now more familiar with his musical resume given her recent public declarations of love for "hood music." Speaking to Billboard recently, Cyrus likened herself to Lil Kim, who she named on her list of favorite female performers.
Getting back to Magna Carta Holy Grail, the album was unveiled to one million Samsung users on July 4. Despite a few technical glitches with the downloading app, Mr. Carter's 12th album became a worldwide trending topic, and quickly leaked to the 'Net.
"Somewhereinamerica" was one of two final tracks whose lyrics were revealed just before the album debut date. The physical version of Magna Carta Holy Grail hits stores Tuesday (July 9).
