Beyoncé Invites Boston Bombing Survivors Backstage
As she makes her way across the U.S. with her Mrs. Carter Show World Tour, Beyoncé continues to pay tribute to fellow Americans who are dealing with troubling times. After her sold-out show at Boston's TD Garden Tuesday (July 24) night, the superstar invited three Boston marathon bombing survivors backstage for an impromptu meet-and-greet.
Mery Daniel, 31, Heather Abbott, 38, and Adrianne Haslet, 32, got face time with Mrs. Carter, who posed for photos with the grinning trio. The three women, who were featured in the June issue of People magazine, all lost a leg in the April terrorist attack and now walk with the assistance of prosthetic limbs.
Last Saturday (July 20), Bey honored the city of Detroit, which recently filed for bankruptcy, with a rendition of "A Change Is Gonna Come;" and earlier that day made an appearance at a NYC rally for slain teen Trayvon Martin in New York City.
