Robin Thicke's Blurred Lines Debuts at No. 1
Paula Patton is probably somewhere grinning; her hubby Robin Thicke will get his first U.S. No. 1 debut this week with his sixth studio album, Blurred Lines.
Led by the title track featuring Pharrell and T.I., which became a worldwide hit and tore through the record for radio airplay, the disco/soul album is on pace to chart with 174,275 units moved for its first week. Other guest features include 2 Chainz and Kendrick Lamar; and production from Thicke himself, Pharrell, will.i.am and Timbaland.
Blurred Lines also took the No. 1 spot on the U.K. and Scottish albums charts.
Thicke's last album, 2011's Love After War, opened at No. 22 on Billboard's 200 with 41,000 copies sold.
